STATEMENT
Renée Price
My deepest most heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who has supported and joined me in winning this primary election to become the Democratic nominee for District 50 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. We maintained a spirit of optimism and we won.
I truly am appreciative of the endorsements, volunteer hours, donations, words of encouragement, hugs, and the votes. Along this journey, I have enjoyed meeting and connecting with a host of beautiful people, new acquaintances as well as long-standing friends in both Caswell and Orange Counties.
My mission of building community and empowering people—i.e., the work I have been doing throughout my career—remains solid. “We the people” must persist in the necessary and honorable fight for humanity and civil rights.
Today, May 17, 2022, would have been my parents’ 70th wedding anniversary. My father used to would say, “you can sit on the sidelines and complain, or you can get in there and do something about it.” And my mother told me, “you can do anything you set your mind to doing.”
To Mom and Dad, “Thank you for everything. You were and always will be the wind beneath my wings.”
May we stay focused on a vision of true freedom, justice, and peace for all.
